Our role

Rooftop acted as product and technical leadership throughout the lifecycle of Amber.

We were involved from the earliest stages — shaping the product vision, defining user experience, and designing a scalable architecture — through development, integrations, and launch.

Beyond delivery, we supported key decisions around regulatory constraints, third-party integrations, and long-term operability, taking responsibility for choices that would impact the product well beyond launch.

The challenge

Building a fintech product in Latin America comes with a unique set of challenges.

Amber needed to deliver a simple, trustworthy investment experience while operating on top of complex, regulated infrastructure and third-party financial systems.

The challenge was not just technical — it required balancing user trust, compliance, scalability, and long-term maintainability, all while launching a product that could grow regionally over time.

Team orchestration

Delivering Amber required coordinating a distributed team of 22 people across multiple disciplines and organizations. Rooftop led the orchestration between internal contributors and external partners, ensuring alignment around a single product vision, clear ownership, and consistent execution. Rooftop provided the connective tissue between teams — translating product decisions into technical execution and keeping momentum across a complex, multi-party setup.
